Why another blog?
Hi my name is Dave Rankin. I’m a church minister in Scotland.
This page is really just a place where I think out loud. It started because I struggled to answer the question, what is preaching. However, it turns out I have a lot of other questions about church.
I recognise that many of my posts are better read as conversation starters. I tend to think best out loud and with the benefit of criticism, hence few of my posts are complete thoughts at the point of posting.
I’ve also started trying to write stories and poems. Many of the stories are based upon Scripture, but with a twist. They’re offered as contemporary parables aimed at critiquing church life.
